It's my go to tool for Windows 8 and embedded keys. Especially when the owner doesn't know what version of Windows was installed by the OEM. It just keeps getting better and better too. Well done, Superfly.

You guys are welcome - BTW the comment regarding 4/5 stars was very much tongue-in-cheek - didn't expect up-voting, it's groovy (my new fave word, hopefully in the right context @HippsieGypsie ?)

Has anybody gotten access to a OEM PC with Windows 10 pre-installed? I'm curious as to whether they use OEM embedded keys or not, or if Microsoft changed things all around again? I'm not in the marker for that type of purchase any time soon. My next build will be a home built desktop PC.

Yep, that was what I was wondering as well... read somewhere that the OEM's do a digital entitlement instead if injecting a key, although Win 10 OEM:DM keys are supported.

I'll have access to one on Tuesday, to finish setting up networking for someone. What do you want me to do?

Superfly can likely better answer that question. Hmm, run showkey on it and see what it reports for a key. Then Google the last 5 characters to see if its a generic key or a unigue key. I just want to know if its embedded in the BIOS or not. Superfly probably wants a bit more info than that. Keep the product code secrete obviously.

Not sure if you intended or tested ShowKey in a custom WinPE - But it works with .NET 4/4.5 installed..
Reads the embedded key and the Off-line registry hive.. So 10 Stars in my book...
