I have a few Macrium images I can mount. There's good news and bad. With the Store version 1.1.12.0 and two W7 images mounted (one for W7 Starter, the other W7 Home Premium) More only discovers one of them.

Though Retrieve Key can read the W7 Starter one.

Mount a third image (W10) and More will find (1 of 2) and (2 of 2) but still fails to find the W7 Starter one. I can rule out the problem being that W7 Starter is 32-bit, as the 3rd W10 image was also 32-bit.

    Thanx Bree nice work

'More..' is designed to only show those installations it can access thus my surprise that Slice had that error occur - it's as you found not yet complete - normally when "More" does not show it as part of the list, 'Retrieve' will dispaly a permissions error accessing the hive.

OTOH, I'm pleased that the Win 7 data displays correctly without error (from "Retrieve") as they differ from Win 8 and Win 10 registry structure.

    @Superfly

Yes, I got an error message:
    ShowKeyPlus-image.png

If I run as admin the More button is gone.

Thanx, looks like missing or corrupt registry data - if you use 'Retrieve key' on that installation does it give the same error?

Dunno why I did not return the actual exception message...duh! -- but I'll try to replicate when I get home.

1909 reputedly won't contain anything new it's supposed to be more of a 1903 Service Pack. However with MS you never really know.
I did find this ...but seems it's not for general release (?yet) given the part number.

    Code:
    Key Status : Valid
    PID : 00436-88250-84634-AA126
    Extended PID : 04368-04368-825-084634-00-1033-18985.0000-2672019
    Active SKU ID : e2071cfd-6cb4-4a38-99d9-3990f2edc916
Product Description : Win 10 RTM Lite Retail
    Edition ID : Lite
    Part Number : [Vb]res-v4368
    Product Key Channel : Retail
    Eula Type : Retail
    Group ID : 4368
Not sure if this is new - but activating the latest Insider with a Win 7 OEM : COA key gave me a Win 10 OEM generic key

    ShowKeyPlus-capture.png

One can tell it's a generic by the PID - it's the first (000-000000) in the 3305 group of keys

    Code:
    PID : 00330-50000-00000-AAOEM
    Extended PID : 03305-03305-000-000000-02-1033-18985.0000-2672019
    Active SKU ID : bd3762d7-270d-4760-8fb3-d829ca45278a
Product Description : Win 10 RTM Professional OEM:DM
    Edition ID : Professional
    Part Number : [TH]X19-99481
    Product Key Channel : OEM:DM

    Hi Superfly,

Possibly because under 7 product key ID's values are different
    OEM = 2 COA = 8

I noticed that there is a problem with Win 7 key checking which affects version 1.0.7060 as well - that one freezes the GUI when checking Win 7 edition from the Original key

The Preview edition functions more asynchronously but did not report an error from the co-executing thread.

    So, I fixed it.
    Update: 32-bit Version 1.1.12.23243 / 64-bit Version 1.1.12.23260

    • Added excepton handing retrieving additional installation data (via More.. or Retrieve key functions)
    • Added improved Windows 7 edition checking with notification of expected delayed response

    https://github.com/Superfly-Inc/Show...lusPreview.zip

It will pop-up a message that Win 7 key checking is in progress - the other issue fixed is that Retrieve will not allow SOFTWARE hive - previously it went into a tizz with perpetual spinning balls if any other was selected.
Not all exceptions in all scenarios can be caught but hopefully most will.
