no crashes on secondary system either. All working flawlessly. I don't even have to run as Admin. I just run the executable and it does what it's supposed to do.
That's how it should work. The (as yet unresolved) problem is that on a very few systems the Store App version will not open unless it is run as administrator. Just trying to open it normally shows the logo, then a crash is reported in Reliability History. See my post #1100 and Superfly's post #1124

One of my machines (but none of my others) has this problem, so I'm Superfly's 'test bed' for debugging this.

    OK @Bree

I added a crash reprt to see if we can catch the offending code - it should popup like this:
    ShowKeyPlus-capture.png
Then click Save - an html document will get generated - post it here please.

My Reliability History thanks you. With the crash report added it exits gracefully and no longer records as a crash in Reliability History (spoiling my otherwise perfect '10' ).

edit: spoke too soon, it was recorded as a crash after I closed the crash report window

    Report attached.

Fixed it, that one opens perfectly.

(I haven't tested all it's functions yet, just that it opens without crashing.)

    Great, thanx

The old version has built-in elevation and will not exhibit the same behaviour - the Store version is not allowed to have that thus these odd issues will crop up.

I posted a new preview version with the fixes we made as some Russian site latched onto the debug version above (i.e. the crash reporter version that included an email routine to send the crash report) and Kaspersky reported it as a Trojan - got some snarky comments there like I'm a "stupid goat" (per Google translate) LOL ...

Anyway Virustotal is OK with this version so it will most likely go to the Store as 1.1.12.0 unless something major pops up.

    Update: 32-bit Version 1.1.11.39129 / 64-bit Version 1.1.11.39140

    • Removed debugging code
      VirusTotal
    • No engines detected this file
