Mine is the same, it just means that it has been merged with your Microsoft account or your PC's hardware into a digital license.
    Hey
So how can u find da Product key in my hp dv6. If the original key is stored in da firmware. That matches the key on the sticker so I can use it and activate windows.

if the original Key is saved in the firmware how can i get it.
That key is the generic Windows 10 Pro key, everyone who upgraded from Windows 7/8/8.1 Pro to Windows 10 will have that key.

Generic Product Keys to Install Windows 10 Editions

A machine built for Windows 7 does not have a key in its bios, that started with Windows 8. From the first post that you quoted:
"If you purchased a new PC running Windows, the product key will be included in the firmware in the case of Windows 8 or 10 - or as an OEM marker, in the case of Windows Vista or Windows 7 "

On a Windows 7 machine there is no key in the firmware, just a marker to say which OEM edition of W7 this machine is entitled to run (Home, Pro, etc). Your only W7 key is the one on the OEM CoA sticker.

When you use the key from the sticker to install Windows 7 it looks for the OEM marker in the bios and will only activate if they are both for the same W7 edition.

The first is entirely at my end. The machine I used in the tests started with 1803 Home which I later upgraded to Pro, then upgraded to 1809 using the ISO. By the end of that it had both an installed key (Pro) and an original key (Home). Maybe it's because I let windows update do the upgrade to 1903, but I no longer seem to have an original key for ShowKeyPlus (any version) to find.
I have almost the same scenario as that. I upgraded from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 10 Home.
ShowKey Plus showed the generic Windows 10 Home key and the original retail Windows 7 key. However early this year I upgraded to Windows 10 Pro and the original Windows 7 key no longer showed up in SKP. I don't feel that this has anything to do with SKP and put it down to windows 10 doing the rare job of cleaning up after its self.
@Superfly I think you've done a great job on this version of SKP, I can't break it Seriously though, it looks and feels right now

Yes, I think you're right. I had clean installed 1803 Home on this machine and spent a lot of time and effort configuring it to my needs before I decided to upgrade it to Pro (to get Hyper-V). So I clean-installed Pro to get it a digital licence, restored my 1803 Home's Macrium image, then upgraded that with the generic Pro key. In due course I upgraded to 1809 when that was released, but it still showed both an original generic Home and an installed generic Pro key.

You can see in my post #1104 that in investigating my weird 'one-off' bug I have been restoring a number of different images, some of which were 1809 which I then upgraded to 1903. However I did the 1903 upgrade, windows update or in-place using an ISO, 1903 cleaned out the original key entry (unlike the 1809 upgrade which didn't bother to).

I didn't bother clean installing Pro, I used the Pro key I had then went to activate it and received a digital licence.

Thanx Doogs.. :) . I did receive some crash reports at Dev Centre though - still no idea what's causing it.
