Well spotted. Clicking that line worked normally for me, but then I had a W8.1 OEM key present. Doing so masked the key with '*****' for the first four groups of characters.

I can confirm that a single click (doesn't take a double) will also crash on 'Windows 7 OEM marker present in firmware'. Maybe it's trying to mask something that isn't there?
Yes you're correct Bree, it does only take a single click.

In the latest version double clicking on the line "OEM key not present in firmware" causes SKP to crash. Present in both 64-bit and 32-bit versions.
    Thanks Doogs

Yep it's trying to find the "-" in the string and falling over

BTW the new version has Darkness (hey, something from Gotham City has to be included.. right?) - anyway it's built in but I still have problems getting the icons to comply with Dark

    Update: 64-bit Version 1.0.0.3969 / 32-bit Version 1.0.0.4042

    • Added Dark mode compatibility
      • If "Default app mode" is set to Dark in Colours settings
      • or can be user initiated by double-clicking Version in About

    Update: 64-bit Version 1.0.0.32639 / 32-bit Version 1.0.0.32651
-- Fixed Key masking of non-Key returns

    Yup fixed

Regarding the post (which you deleted) you did earlier regarding Microsofts' comments on non compatibility of Windows 10S and SKP. Personally I would have got in touch with them and asked for a limited time licence for it to allow you to code your app correctly.

Seem all OK now. My only comment is a trivial one - does it have to be a double-click? It was only a single click in 1.0.7060.

Thnx Doogs... I posted a bit in haste without checking the link they gave me
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win...test-windows-s

Seems I have set up a VM to test this Device Guard thing...

.. but I did send Satya an email asking him to nuke Win 10S as it's causing me headaches... I'm sure he'll comply

Not sure why I went with double-click TBH - I'll change it to single as per the current.

    And.... here we go...

    ShowKeyPlus-capture3.png

So I had a stab at the whole Get your app Win10S ready and all that... and promptly just gave up.

Event viewer was complaining more about VM compatibility than the app itself - other modules just blocked it without a Store cert - so... a complete waste of time.

If MS fails this submission, I give up...

Version 1.1.11.0 is in the Microsoft Store now....

Must say, it looks a lot nicer on the Store page now (without the Win8/Metro GUI of the old version)

Thanx @Bree and @DooGie for testing and feedback - v1.1.11.0 is dedicated to you guys

I have some more feedback, though this seems to apply to just one machine.

Since I tested the previews I have upgraded the machine I used from 1809 to 1903 through Windows Update. This has had two effects.

The first is entirely at my end. The machine I used in the tests started with 1803 Home which I later upgraded to Pro, then upgraded to 1809 using the ISO. By the end of that it had both an installed key (Pro) and an original key (Home). Maybe it's because I let windows update do the upgrade to 1903, but I no longer seem to have an original key for ShowKeyPlus (any version) to find.

The second seems to be restricted to just this one machine, my other 1903 x86/x64 machines don't exhibit it. Both v1.1.11.0 and the 1.0.0.32639 preview (that ran normally in my tests before) will now only open if I run as administrator. If I try running normally I see the logo appear then disappear, but the app doesn't open. Version 1.0.7060 still opens normally. It may (or may not) be relevant that I have also had to replace the HDD with an SSD.

    Code:
    Description
    Faulting Application Path: C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\617231644CE58.ShowKeyPlus_1.1.11.0_neutral__arc7y9yj6c41t\ShowKeyPlusWPF\ShowKeyPlus.exe
