Both versions work in XPE - as the gui and save functions work - always has...
My question is the PE version is bigger - so does this means there are no external file requirements ??
    Stand alone exe ??

It still requires .Net - so not entirely standalone - but now does not use the underlying registry. Instead it uses offreg.dll which gets installed with Win 8 and Win 10 as standard.
I had to embed the offreg x86 and x64 dll's into the exe so that the appropiate one gets extracted if it's not found (eg in WinPE and Win 7)

@Superfly, Downloaded a new version of ShowkeyPlus from GitHub this afternoon which looked like a preview version. I just looked again and it's been pulled. What's going on Craig.

I'm not happy with it.. uploaded it again anyway...

It was supposed to be the new UWP version (thus no WinPE/CLI) - but decided to do it as Desktop as well for consistency. Also easier to test as standalone - this is a huge departure from the current, technically.

All feedback welcome, in fact I still need to implement exception handling, so early testing will be good for that.

But as I said, it still feels half-baked to me...

The version you put up last differs from the original .exe version that I grabed. In the original one if I clicked on "about" nothing happened but with the version you linked to clicking on "about" closes SKP down.
