    • Fixed disabled menu links when returning to the main screen subsequent to an error from auto-discovery.
    • Fixed "Retrieve key from backup" not displaying correct installation.
    • Updated error message to specify to re-launch as Admin if access to hive denied.

    Please update from https://github.com/Superfly-Inc/Show...CPU.appxbundle

Not sure how long it will take before Store is updated.

    It took exactly 48 hours!

I've still got lots of BBBBB with the store app. I know what it means (it says in first post) but perhaps the app could put a tool-tip message like "we aren't showing the generic key" or something. It isn't a MAK - it is Pro upgraded to PfW via the Store (I have DL for both).

Not sure of the correct solution but it isn't particularly clear at the moment as you'd have to read this thread to understand why your key isn't shown.

    Note   Note
Should your key display as BBBBB-BBBBB-BBBBB-BBBBB-BBBBB, it is a placeholder Windows inserts after activating a MAK key...
...which I understand to mean that all the BBBBBs have been read from the registry, @Superfly may correct me on that. Perhaps the Store upgrade to PfW uses a MAK key? Or do you see a generic key with the .exe version of ShowKey?

I know - I even said that it said it in the first post. You can only upgrade to PfW via the store - you install Pro and then convert by going to the store and it swaps it (once you paid in the first place). Both the store app and the .exe of ShowKeyPlus are the same, I just think it would be better if the program explained what BBBBB was with a tooltip as otherwise it isn't terribly clear (unless you have been following his thread for 5 years).

Agreed, it confused me too the first time I saw a 'BBBBB'.

Yup... this is what it says with an upgrade (I forgot to include that with the base key lookup)

There will need to be an explanation in the tooltip .. like "MAK key removed for security reasons" or something - in the next release.

It's actually just zero'd out in the registry - the key algorithm cannot accept 0 nor A - thus B's.

Thanks for the explanation. The tooltip will be a welcome addition - not that many retail users are likely to come across a MAK key (not legally, anyway)
