Hey Craig, on the "marketing" side, have you also started thinking about the description of SK+.
I mean like explain why it would also be useful for Machines sold with OEM versions, or better yet, why someone with Win10S might need it too, when the digital license is connected to the machine after the first install, and so on.
    I mean for laymen.
Does it also work for Windows server, Phone and so on too.
Nope, I haven't decided how it will be marketed yet... it will work on Server but it's not gonna be targeting mobile at first....I think that will require a lot of re-coding - I will look into that at a later stage.

    Hi C,

Just had an idea that might be worth considering. Sometimes we tell people to use showkeyplus, and click on keys to hide them and post image. It would be quite nice to have a simple "hide keys" button as easier to explain to people. Also, you could even hide keys in saved file if button was clicked perhaps.

    Cheers

Lets look at windows iso downloader, (new version almost weekly) it was a nice tool and now has a popup before running the tool. that (interface) change now causes error in PE. Old tool still does what, new tool does, but without popup.

I ask you all to keep things simple and not over develop things.. Showkey has been out for awhile, it does its thing, it works, its clean, its simple and we all know its features..

Kinda where we at with PE, 16299 FCU supported, but not much changed.. Other then updating programs, old PE works the same.

Yup, from the UWP restrictions - it's development path will be separate from the current one - I can't see them merging.

For eg. UWP does not allow elevation (needed to load hives for 'Retrieve key" function -- working on an alternate for this btw), and 10 S cannot run cmd.exe (for CLI mode) - So those will have to go in the UWP version which will be 'Lite' in that respect.

Are you certain UWP can not run CMD in Windows S? As far as I have understood...it should be possible to use CMD once the app is signed as trusted store app with appropriate permissions.

Pretty sure it doesn't... you may be thinking of converted Win32 apps that are Store signed that will run.

MS has blocked a lot of it's own exe's.

Do you intend to get tool into Store or will it always be sideloaded. As a UWP app, you will blow opposition away .

Yup, Need to conquer the Store.. lol
Seriously tho', there are a lot of limitations/pre-requisites that needs satisfying, particularly with converted apps.... I will concentrate on it (and SMACC) later this year - super busy with 'year-end' work right now.
