For some reason the program is reporting that I have an OEM key which is not present in firmware. I have the original 10240 dvd when which came out in 2015. Should I change the number to the one on the box?
If it says you are activated with a digital licence in activation menus, no need to do anything. In fact, you might tangle things up with your 10240 DVD original key.

There has been a recent subtle change now. If you use a windows 10 key to activate windows, it creates a digital licence, and just uses a generic key. The product key is no longer shown as the installed key.

Basically all installations except volume licence keys are handled same way as the original windows 7/8 upgrades.

On previous AU and CU builds, showkeyplus would have showed entered product key as installed key if used to activate, but you got a digital licence as well.

FCU now only checks key is valid and creates digital licence but no longer shows any product key other than generic.

In a way this sinplifies things - if key is not generic, it is a volume licence key. If key is generic, pc has a digital licence.

Thanks for the info and the reassurance. I do much prefer how Windows 10 handles activation than previous versions, so much simpler.

Yeah, and it has improved as time went on. In initial 1507/1511 builds, you either had a key activated licence if you entered a 10 key or a digital licence activation.
With 1607, you could use a product key to activate as before but you got a digital licence as well.

With FCU, they have gone whole hog ie you only get a digital licence and your key is only used for verification. As an aside, I am not sure you can use the old style telephone activation any more?

Now life is simple, reinstall windows 10, and skip key entry.

I have tried that on previous versions fairly recently so the service still works but as you say, whether you need it for 10 is another question.

    Updated UWP version

Fixed loading of hives. There are so many pre-requisites for UWP it's unreal - like can't use HKLM, so changed it to HKU.

These are the rest of the "errors" that need to be fixed for Store validation.

See all the stuff that needs validation - Just glad the "Digitally signed file test' passed - whoopee for that!

Hey Craig, on the "marketing" side, have you also started thinking about the description of SK+.
I mean like explain why it would also be useful for Machines sold with OEM versions, or better yet, why someone with Win10S might need it too, when the digital license is connected to the machine after the first install, and so on.
    I mean for laymen.
Does it also work for Windows server, Phone and so on too.
