Hey Craig,
Have you ever thought about a ShowkeyPro version?
One that had a tabbed, user friendly, easy to use UI(with a damn help file too) for Windows Activation Key Management.
It might be nice to have a program where one could disable a retail key on an old PC(inform to turn off secure boot in BIOS first, then runs slmgr /upk & slmgr /cpky, with the reboot included), and install on a new one (slmgr /ipk) or from it online/telephonic activation and so on. Maybe a remote activation tab too?
You could even add a link to it in ShowKeyPlus's UI![]()
Yep, it needs a refreshed UI - been wanting to drop the 3rd party 'metro theme' and move to native XAML instead for a while now... Still got to get SMACC completed though.. LOL.
Nope, DL's do not use slmgr...
It would be nice if MS didn't SHA-256 encrypt the DL, so that we could back it up and restore offline... I'm sure there is a way - just need to dig a bit...
Well MS finally got back to me
Anyway lost interest as there are still Admin related issues I can't circumvent...so.From: Luis (Mr MS from Panama?)

Hi Mr. (Superfly goes here)
I am writing to you as you have expressed interest in releasing your Desktop App ShowKeyPlus to the Microsoft Store.
You may have already submitted your app to the Store and been blocked due to permissions, that is expected until this process is completed. I would like to work with you to expedite the process to review and release your app.
I noticed that it was a delay before I get this case, and I am sorry about that. We are working to identify the reason of delay.
In order to proceed, as your application requires runFullTrust access, I need to validate your application before unblock your submission. That step is only necessary in the first application’s submission. Once approved, you are free to submit all the updates you want without requiring further approval from my side.
K,... so went with the 80/20 rule ( will fix the 20% in a later release) just wanna test the process for now.
MS recently changed the Store submission policy that pre-approval is no longer necessary for Win32->UWP converted apps ( GitHub?.. wink, wink) - it's all automated now :)
Still waiting on cert tho'.. hold thumbs I don't have to do a re-write!
