    Hi Craig, I just got home from work and had a bit of time to play with the new iteration. Really cool is if I leave it open and change from a dark to light(and vice versa) theme ShowKeyPlus now changes with it, and I don't have to close and reopen, I just slides with the theme.

    Normal Windows theme

    Unpatched dark theme

    3 different high contrast, notice the Halloween one, It also takes on other background colors...

    Oh I forgot to mention too, no matter the theme, the links remain readable now.

    Attachment 36427 hi .not install key.why ?
    @Google7
    That's due to MAK keys being removed from the registry (for security reasons) and replaced with that placeholder.

    Thanx for the feedback, Cliff... your reg. settings was a nice catch... I would had needed to write a UXtheme wrapper without it...

    Thanx bud,
    The trade-off with modern apps is they do not access UXtheme like standard apps - the upside is that XAML has so much cool stuff like animation etc... I can see why MS decided to move in that direction.

    @Superfly

    Craig, something else I tried and it worked great, I accessed ShowKeyPlus, which is on my desktop, from my laptop.

    I first tried using network:
    ShowKeyPlus-network.png

    I then used Homegroup:

    Both times it used the current them on my laptop too. This might be good for people to know, when they need the information, for a bunch of PC's, you only need to install once(as long as your router stays on, of course)!

    Do you know what a MAK key is? I ask because that indicates your running a Volume License version of Windows 10. Where did you get your PC from and or how was Windows 10 installed on it?

    Unfortunately you can't - as alpha says, volume licence keys are controlled by an organisation, and not meant for individuals, apart from MSDN for testing purposes.

    Cool Cliff, that's good to hear
    I think we are good to go with this one...I'll concentrate on a 'ShowkeyLite' version for Kyhi's WinPE work.

    @Superfly,

    Hi Craig I have created a great color combination you might want to check out. I have a metallic blue for highlights abnd the rest is a dark gray variation. I know you're finished with ShowKeyPlus but maybe for other software you create or personal use. Anyhow here is a pic, the reg file, and the code.
