    On this PC, the one I upgarded and then rolled back slmgr /dli shows the last 5 as 8HV2C and OEM_COA_NSLP channel
    Which is the Generic Windows 10 Enterprise key XGVPP-NMH47-7TTHJ-W3FW7-8HV2C

    On the 1809 clean install it shows as Volume_MAK_channel
    And the last 5 match MSDN MAK key I used to activate it.

    Is there a reason why my Windows is using a generic key rather than the key I got with my Windows box?

    The key is switched to the generic one when the PC activates with a Digital License. Which Generic key you get depends on the Edition installed, Home, Pro etc.

    Ok, just entered my MAC key and it activated with a Digital License. This PC may not have had Enterprise Installed on it in the past. Going by my list of keys used on each of my PC's Enterprise is not listed for this PC. Showkey says MAK key not found.

    This is correct - the PID shows a MAK, why it got a DL is still a mystery tho'

    That was a clean install on my spare desktop PC, of 1809 with the latest My Visual Studio ISO.
    This PC, my main desktop, was upgraded to 1809 and then rolled back to 1803. It shows as activated with a Digital License.
    Showkey shows the same as above. In the past it would have shown the generic key. The upgrade and rollback changed things from the looks of it.

    This one is displaying incorrectly. The PID is the default Enterprise OEM key, yet it finds the MAK. We need to look into this some more.

    I fixed a bug that duplicated the MAK as original key on a clean install.

    @alphanumeric

    This is the bug-fixed version - let me know if on a clean install with a MAK, it still shows it as Original.
