Hi, yes, the start menu limit. I've just recently discovered that still applies, astonishingly. I thought it had been fixed, but know it's going to be. Certainly explains why I'm missing a lot.

Now, jf2oo6, I wonder if you could let me know one thing.

My 'normal' start menu has major folders e.g. Office, Multimedia, Utilities... and subfolders, either my own or those programs create themselves. Viewed in 'All apps' the top level folder is shown, then the extracted shortcuts in all the subfolders in alphabetical order. Thus I have (e.g.)

    Gilisoft Audio Recorder Pro
    Help
    Help
    Help
    Help

    etc

    - the 'Help' being extracted from a number of different folders.

Has this been resolved in the latest build? Thanks!

I am not sure I have the same problem as you, so I don't think I can effectively answer. I do still have the major folders, with the subfolders and programs inside the majors. But I don't notice any files or programs that are repeated within those folders as you have suggested. But again, I did not notice that issue before the update either.

I would suggest you try to update to build 10547. I am happy with it and I do not notice any adverse effects thus far.

Thanks- guess it could be a side effect of having double (or so) the amount of shortcuts..
Anyway, I'm not intending to rely on Win 10's start menu, and use Classic Shell- I much prefer a multicolumn start menu I can manipulate, with a focussed search option.
