Cant save MS Word docs

Since i have upgraded to Win 10 i can no longer save any documents i create with MS Word.

I try to save and this error messages pops up every time, and now i cant save any projects i create.

Have you checked the path where the file system stores your documents. Click on the file icon in the task bar, scroll up to the "documents" section at the top and right click on properties, then click on location to check the path.

I have chosen to save in Documents or Desktop, it doesnt seem to matter where i tell it to save to that error message appears.

Even if i just go to overwrite the existing file i cant save.

Instead of Microsoft Word, how about free LibreOffice....an excellent alternative. Try downloading LibreOffice and see if you can save those documents...BTW, it will save in all Microsoft Word formats plus its own "odt" format. If the documents can be saved, then you probably have a corrupted Microsoft program and might try re-installing it.

It's more than likely a permissions problem. Check the permissions on your Username/Documents folder and make sure you have access to it, IE Full control.

Running the office repair now.

In the mean time i think i have all permissions ticked is this correct?

Ok just ran the repair and no luck the same error message appears

Highlight your Username and check the permissions. In your SS you have System highlighted and of course it has Full rights.
