Add and Remove Windows Programs is the wrong place because it isn't a Microsoft program. It is Google. Uninstall from the Control Panel/Programs/Uninstall a Program.
    It's not there, I've looked.

You're so welcome.. I don't know when I'll get around to this but I will.. I have to take my girlfriend to the Dr and that could take up some time.

Here is a description of what it is and what it's for:
Googles Software Removal Tool Removes Crapware, Resets Your Browser

    I wouldn't worry about it.

The original poster was looking for the Software reporter tool. How did this morph into Google Software Removal Tool. As far as I can figure out reporting and removing are not the same thing.

    And welcome to the forums,
Just out of curiosity do you know how his chrome downloaded that file Jeff?? I also run chrome and have never seen it before.
I just did a check on my computer, and no such file exists. I didn't think Chrome would download a addon or file without asking the user 1st?? Just wondering....file doesn't sound bad at all.

Honestly the only information I found was about a Google issue. I can't test it properly since I couldn't recreate the error on my system. It's hard to really say how it got there but there is no solid information on this issue.
