Can a free app that stops working be restarted?

I downloaded a so-called "free app" to convert word documents two JPEG files, and it worked about 10 times, and then suddenly stopped working. I tried different things including uninstalling and reinstalling the app on my computer to make it work, but nothing made it work again. I get the impression that this is an app that is advertised as being free, but is actually free on a trial basis to get people to buy the paid version once it stops working (as if people would think a suddenly malfunctioning app is worth putting out money for).
I was just wondering if there is a way anyone knows of to make the app simply start working again in its free version.

Here is the app in question: Batch WORD to JPG Converter - Download

That harkens my mind back to Bulletin Boards in Dial-up days and Shareware, try then buy if like or uninstall. Downside was it couldn't be reinstalled, seemed to leave a marker behind that prevented it. Only way I found to use such a program again was a clean install of Windows.

    Software Version: 1.4
    Software License: Free + Pro
The one thing I can't see is any definition of 'free' vs 'Pro'... or anywhere to buy it or even how much a license is. Hmm.

Suggest you look for something else.. maybe
Batch Word To JPG Converter 1.1 Download (Free) - Word2JPG.exe

(just something I found... no recommendation implied)

That looks like the same one. But I'll try it and see if it works.

    EDIT: Yep, it's the same.

Or download and use on a different device.
It would be nice if whatever "marker" was used could be found and taken out.

And thank you fo ryour reply.

Well, you've got the idea... go looking for one. Plenty of online options too.

We cannot advise on workarounds to defeat author's license restrictions- nor should you be asking for help to do that.

The website you quoted mentions a Free and a Pro version, i would install the free version and use something like RevoUnInstaller to remove it to see if that finds some hidden dregs.

I had been using the online options before but each and every time I use them, they mess up the order of the pages of the Word document after it's converted into JPEG. That was the reason I was looking for an offline app. The one I've been using, which is the one you also referenced is the only one I can find.
Also, sorry about asking for a work around. I didn't realize that wasn't allowed here.

Hmmm....that sounds like it could work. I used to have RevoUninstaller until I started getting too many ads and some other issues. But I'll get it back and give it a try.

EDIT: I got RU now but realized I also just installed an earlier version of the Word to Jpeg converter, thinking that an early version might actually work. I tried it, and it worked! It'll probably work for 10 uses like the other one did. After that, I'll try doing what you suggested.
