    Google Drive Problem

I hope I am posting in the correct place. Yesterday I downloaded google drive to my PC. In the set up process the app suggests places you might want to upload data from. One of those suggestions was "My Documents". Now that is the folder where I want to share one file from. Well I ticked the box, and of course it immediately started uploading everything in My Documents to the cloud. It was a good while before I managed to find the way to cancel this process.
My question is, If I send everything that went into the cloud to the Trash bin, will I still have the original files left on my PC ?

    Many Thanks

As stated. I have now unsynced the My Documents folder in the app. So if I delete the files in the cloud waste Bin, will I still have the files on my PC ?

How to Sync Your Desktop PC with Google Drive (and Google Photos)

Where files are actually stored depends on the options you selected. See this:

Look at the first option under Stream files vs Mirror files.

    Can you see the difference?
    Which did you choose?

The article I've linked should be a good guide.

It shouldn't make any difference anyway because you will always recover any lost/deleted files from your other main physical back up drive ..... ??

And thank you for your reply.

On that basis you've answered at least part of your question, I think.
