    Can't install Visual C++ 2005 redistributable


    Windows 10x64 22H2 Professional

    I got a Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition full on a DVD set but I can't install it since I built a new computer and the case doesn't have a slot for a DVD drive, later I'll build an external DVD drive.
    Then I found the game free of charge for Amazon Prime members, basically it's the GOG version.
    The GOG Galaxy software is stuck when is trying to install the Visual C++ drivers.
    I tried to download the Visual C++ drivers but they also fail to install.
    I tried a package from Majorgeeks and that also failed to install.
    There is a lot of "garbage" information on internet because many people ask for this problem especially from Microsoft help forums but I couldn't find a solution.
    Has any of you guys ever experienced this issue?
