help removing a one touch app or program
i was helping my sister set up her new to her win11 pc and the brother in law complained that he had to rest his pin like every couple of week. so before i got into that i tried to get his account on her pc in chrome and his pc and her pc with his chrome account just were not the same and sync was turn on inside my sisters pc but he could not get sync to turn on.
so now the issue along the top of the screen he has some type of what looks like the task bar and it has a bunch of icon the do nothing and a search bar that does nothing and i can't get rid of it. i found 6 or 8 instances of the one touch in start up so i disabled them and then i found that program and ran uninstall and it only partially uninstalled. that area on the top of the screen.
also he could not turn sync on he could not log onto chrome it did not take his password but on my sister pc it did. i tried to find out how to uninstall onetouch and every site that gave instruction did not remove this one.
also so i went to reset and it just will not reset. i tried 5 times to get reset to go. i tried reset from the cloud the hard drive and it gets done and nothing changed.
i told him to bring it over to me so i can take out the drive and put it on my pc on the usb and format the drive. but i wonder if that will work.
so does anyone know what might be going on? i'm leaning on a virus. he told me he downloaded win11 and installed that from the internet and i wonder if that may have had a virus on it. he tried to tell me win11 came up on the screen and asked to be installed, but it will not even do updates it just reboots.
thanks
