    Windows mediaplayer alternative

    Sources:
    Releases . clsid2/mpc-hc . GitHub
    Download foobar2000

Both of these look somewhat promissing, but neither of them shows a folder structure as in terms of a playlist, it's just a long long list of music. The MPC-HC player doesn't even react to keyboard input when pressing the mediakeys to skip to the next song or pause or continue the current song, this work with foobar2000 but again neither of them shows a playlist structure, it's just all songs listed together at once.
Are there settings i have overlooked or plugins required to enable a basic folder structure that can be used as a playlist?

Personally, I jut like an alphabetical list, but looking through the Library > Album List settings, I see this in Foobar2000...
I don't know if that will do it, but maybe?

Mine is set to... by artist/album, but I highlighted the one I think may be appropriate.
But I'm not sure if this will affect the playlist or not.

Maybe if you set to...by folder structure ...and THEN create the playlist?

Just an FYI. I've used both programs that you mention and from memory MPC only has an option to add to favorites.

For info. I prefer an older version of winamp (not the current version)

For video I prefer PotPlayer but configuration and settings could be tricky for anyone who has never used it.

I've been using Windows Media Player Classic, part of the K-Lite Codec Pack.
It plays everything. And its UI is simple and uncluttered.

    It's Winamp 5.0.9999

    winamp-5-9-final

with Quinto Black CT Skin (Skin requires configuration).

Quinto Black CT v3.6 is out with new features, now comes with an installer

I've got quinto-black-ct-v3-6 zip if anyone wants it but it only works with winamp 5 and not with newer versions.

The Quinto link is at the bottom of the article you linked above.

I already have both. Winamp 5.9.9999 and Quinto 3.6

Then you'd install Winamp followed by Quinto Black CT skin and configure as per the pm I sent.
