Windows 10 UWP Beta Apps on Windows 10 Stable Build

Hey there, I am wondering if there is a way to get Windows Beta UWP apps running on a stable build specifically I am talking about the old Microsoft Edge Legacy and the UWP File explorer. I am having issues with this though let me use Microsoft Edge Legacy as an example.

I have Microsoft Edge Legacy from Windows 10 Build 18947, when I try running this on Windows 10 Build 19041 (2004) I get an error Windows 10 UWP Beta Apps on Windows 10 Stable Build-screenshot-1.png

A problem with Windows is preventing Microsoft Edge from opening. Refreshing your PC might help fix it.

But if I try doing this the other way round (Running a stable UWP app on A beta version of Windows 10) there is no error and it will work perfectly fine.

Something is blocking the MicrosoftEdge.exe file from Windows Insider builds from running on a stable version.
I have tried using different versions of Windows 10 Stable and Windows 10 Insider builds and they all have the same effect.

Windows Event Viewer says this by the way if this is any help:

Unable to start a DCOM Server: Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_44.19041.1.0_neutral__8wekyb3d8bbwe!MicrosoftEdge as Unavailable/Unavailable. The error:
    "2147958023"
    Happened while starting this command:
    "C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\MicrosoftEdge.exe" -ServerName:MicrosoftEdge.AppXdnhjhccw3zf0j06tkg3jtqr00qdm0khc.mca

If anyone knows or has any ideas on how to get Windows Apps from Windows Insider builds running on a stable build please let me know, any help will be appreciated :)

One possible reason why you are getting the error is that the UWP apps from Windows Insider builds are not compatible with the stable versions of Windows 10. This is because the UWP apps are designed to work with the specific features and APIs of the Insider builds, which may not be available or supported on the stable builds. Therefore, trying to run them on a different version of Windows 10 may cause errors or crashes.

One possible solution is to use a virtual machine or a dual boot system to run the Windows Insider builds and the UWP apps from them. This way, you can avoid any compatibility issues and enjoy the latest features and updates of the Insider builds. However, this may require some technical skills and resources, and you should be aware of the risks and limitations of using the Insider builds.

I think you could possibly be correct about the APIs being different as I opened both the MicrosoftEdge.exe from the stable build and insider build in CFF Explorer and they do have different values in their APIs.

I just don’t understand how the MicrosoftEdge.exe from the stable build still works on the beta. I also wonder if it’s possible to modify anything to get this working.
