a program/app that takes full screenshot including unscrolled area

asking this due to reasons chrome/edge/firefox etc have built in full screenshot, however (especially chrome) doesn't allow taking fullscreenshot in some chrome:// link for security reason, so it's built in fullscreenshot doesn't even work. (ie extension page, have many extension requires 5-6 screenshots pieced together).

is there a way to do this via another program? or some sort of workaround does anybody know?

Hi, do you mean you want a tool that does scrolling capture well... i.e. 1 image file including the area of the page off-screen?

    Try ShareX (free)
ShareX - The best free and open source screenshot tool for Windows

    - Too many options, no easy save, but good at scrolling capture. Not all are.

By comparison, say, Duck capture is much slower at capturing (jerky stages) and may not succeed in completing- ShareX is smooth and fast.

    Example from Duckcapture:

The Vivaldi browser can do a full screen shot no problem. Just click the 'camera' icon located on the bottom of the browser and it gives the option to either just capture the current screen or the full page.

Details here for Firefox - never looked before:
How to Take a Full Page Screenshot in Firefox - 2023
    - scroll past the 1st one. Note: not tried it.

Note: scrolling capture 3rd party tools can be used with other windows- not just for browsers - and of course from a learning curve /familiarity viewpoint, easier to have just one tool.

Depends what you feel comfortable with.

    Chrome:
How to take a scrolling screenshot on Chrome and Chrome OS
    - looks really complicated...

Ditto on Vivaldi. Full page capture is built in. However it won't work on the extensions page:

    vivaldi://extensions/

So I guess in Chrome extensions page that you'd need to zoom out then capture the area of the screen that you need using your choice of screenshot utility.

There's an extension in the link I quoted for Chrome.. not tried it.

Sharex can capture this whole page rendered in Chrome as a scrolling capture.

And here's how to do a full page (including off-screen) capture natively in Chrome - taken from the link I posted:

    - a stage in the procedure:
a program/app that takes full screenshot including unscrolled area-1.jpg

    - instructions and example:

thats the same for pretty all browser, chrome, ffox, edge etc all will not work on extension page due to security they call it. hence the need for a 3rd party software not having to do this 5-6 times each time need something done.

@dalchina I'll give those software a try, ty!

There are other programs that provide scrolling capture, however a good number I tried either give up on the first segment, or start jerkily scrolling down, then stop, perhaps reporting that the content has changed. In that respect ShareX remains the best. Its options are many- and whilst setting up the capture is ok.. handling the result is often less than obvious. I guess maybe 'cos I don't use it often...

Feel free to also try seaching for e.g.
    scrolling capture freeware

    E.g.
4 Best Free Scroll Screen Capture Software For Windows
    - happens to list the 2 I mentioned.

    There's also Snagit (not free)...

Try FireShot, It offers a full-page capture option that allows you to capture the entire webpage, including the unscrolled area. It also provides annotation and editing features.

I think I'm right in saying that this scrolling capture is for web pages only.
