Is Samsung Magician software recommended for cleaning SSDs?

I have a Sager laptop w Win 10 and all Samsung SSDs (2.5in SSD & gum stick NVMe). Norton keeps notifying me that there are numerous broken registry entries, phantom files, pointless internet files, etc --- and Norton wants me to subscribe to their clean-up program at a pricey fee, claiming it will vastly improvement performance. I don't think the laptop/Win10 performance is all that bad.

    1) I found an option by Samsung called: Samsung Magician which I think also does clean-up functions. Do you recommend this Magician package?

The Samsung blurb goes like this:

    "For Consumer Storage
Samsung Magician Software is designed to work with all Samsung memory products including internal SSDs, portable SSDs, memory cards and USB flash drives. Please note that supported features may vary when used with drives from other manufacturers or Samsung OEM drives. For more information, please visit the following link:

    2) Shouldn't my Norton 360 be doing this clean-up when I launch the Norton Smart Scan? see attached.

Looks like an attempt to scare you into giving Norton some more of your money. It's common to have broken links, etc. in your registry. If if you aren't experiencing any problems with your system, you can just ignore the message. Cleaning the registry CAN cause unexpected problems.

Nortron's....... this forum is as close as their crapwarez will ever get to my pc

If I had Sammy drives, I would definitely trust their software before anything else, just like I only trust WD Dashboard for my 850x's....

Although most registry errors can safely be ignored, but some are more serious, and you will generally be made aware of those by something not working right, either your software or hardware...

But if you keep your system crud-free on a regular basis, the bad links or other issues can't/won't pile up to the extent that you end up with a non-bootable system
