How to refresh windows media player catalog on netwok?

What do you say? should I open another discussion on windows search?

I found this thread where you did some testing.

Can't remove non existent folders from indexing exclusions.

I solved it but I don't understand how I did it.

Both the "Video_4" and "Video_4\Generi_Video" folders were shared

but in Option only "Video_4" was shown

I recreated the folder and subfolder.

Then I don't remember what I did....

Then I deleted the folders, all of them, and restarted

Well in Options - Search the folder that you didn't want to delete disappeared

In the indexing panel, however, the "Video_4" folder appears as unavailable. But it had dawned.

I unchecked it and gave OK

I checked again and the "Video_4\Generi_Video" folder appeared as unavailable. At this point I removed the check and gave OK.

I checked and everything seems OK now.

Now the network problem of windows media also seems to have been resolved.

I no longer needed the "Video_4" folder and used the old "Video" folder which I also added to Windows Search.

Remotely files that do not exist have now been removed from windows media catalog

There are other things that don't add up, but I'll wait to try them and I'll put them in this thread.

These are the new anomalies:



After carrying out the recovery procedures in control panel (which also seem to have problems and I will talk about it later) this option no longer works for me. Except I don't know what it's for but it had popped up before.
Now if I check the box and click OK the check box doesn't appear!
