How to Set Print Quality Preferences in Acrobat 9

    I'm using Acrobat 9.5.5 in Windows 10 22H2.

I am looking at a screenshot in an image editing program (e.g., IrfanView). I hit Ctrl-P. I get a Print Preview dialog. I click on Printer Setup > Properties. It says, "Default Settings: Standard." I click on the drop-down arrow and change it to High Quality Print > OK. Next time, once again in the same image editing program, I repeat the process. The default has not changed: it is still Standard.

How can I persuade Acrobat 9 to keep High Quality Print as the default setting?

Have you done a test to see whether or not Standard or Hi Quality print actually makes a difference on paper?

Maybe try some different software first, to see what the standard quality of print is like and then maybe beef up the settings after that, once your happy with a standard set.

If you cant change the default colours, thats down to the colour profiles within Windows and not much you can do about that without changing permissions of the spool folder.

Most times, if you whack up the quality on a printer to maximum, it will eat ink cartridges like no tomorrow and the benefit soon goes when you have to change print cartridges after 10 prints. Stick to standard man
