    Please suggest Teamviewer replacements

Please suggest best Teamviewer repalcement. Remote users who need support are computer awe.
Mostly I use Teamviewer to manage MS Office 5 user family licenses.
Unfortunately Microsoft license activation is lost quite often and any then any licensing fix is distributed by Email.
Also I'm asked to check suspicious Emails family members have received.
Total usage of Teamviewer 1-2 times per month.

Now when opening Teamviewer has all has changed.
When opening remote session, it's limited to 5 minutes only and then connection is dropped - not sufficient to resolve any problem. Apparently purpose is to force free version users to buy quite expensive licence $32 per month.
There is also extra message, that Teamviewer guys believe I'm a commercial user.
Probably just because when connecting to remote site, I first open Outlook for Emails.
And according to Teamviewer licence agreement it's considered as reading business Email at work computer.

    RustDesk

I've been using RustDesk for remote access. For now, it is free and is very similar to TeamViewer. I don't leave it running on clients PC and there are about eight steps for the client to follow - but not installing - the program on their computer.

Anydesk is a good tool. Also splashtop is good but does have modest annual fee for internet use.

I had a similar issue with TeamViewer, i.e. believed to be a commercial user. I emailed TeamViewer Support and included the details (WAN IP addresses and TeamViewer IDs) of my family contacts. I assume they were able to corroborate the details (via the connection logs it uploads to itself or records on its handshake servers) because a couple of days later I was able to use TeamViewer again without any restrictions. This was about a year ago now and I've had no further issues since. Might be worth you trying this yourself... IMO TeamViewer Support appear to be very approachable and more than willing to look at misdiagnosed usage patterns.

Whilst I was having this problem I tried several alternatives and found AnyDesk to be the best for my family and I. IMO it's 'clunkier' in appearance but has one advantage over TeamViewer so I still use this with my brother as we prefer it to TeamViewer. The reason for this is because the file transfer mode appears more robust. (We transfer massive zips of scanned family photo albums for him to edit after I've scanned each photo album at high res.) TeamViewer drops file transfer connections far more frequently for no apparent reason than AnyDesk in our experience.

    Hope this helps...

I have used the built-in W10 'Quick assist' feature: Start>Windows accessories> Quick assist: You have to offer someone (email address) help first, they then get a code which they have to enter, after which you can see their screen. Its a bit of a faff, rather sluggish, and it seems you have to have a MS account to use it. But it is free!

I used TeamViewer until MS came out with Quick Assist while working at cleaning clients computer ! I still prefer it over TeamViewer even today while cleaning computers of junk & virus !!!
