instagram keeps logging me out

I'm using Windows 10 Home Version 22H2.

I log in to instagram via browser on my laptop always. And recently it has a tendency to keep logging me out automatically. Not right away but as soon as I click on messages or start scrolling looking at the posts of people I am following . When I relog in again it starts logging me out again . I have only one account. I have tried on another browser, same thing.

My internet connection is good, not running anything else on my laptop, just the browser. Why is this happening? Sometimes an error message appears but not always "Error, The user needs to log in to continue" or something like that. I tried to log in again twice this morning but no error messages, it just logged me out automatically.

Could you someone please help give some ideas to troubleshoot. Its not urgent. I just want to send some messages and a few weekend pictures to a friend. And I haven't been able to really do that because instagram logged me out when I clicked on messages. thanks.

Sounds like you are blockingnor clearing that cookie.

yes, my browser history and cookies are cleared every time the browser is closed. so its "clean" when I start to log in. On the second browser (Edge) I have permissions for cookies "Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommended)" but I still have the same problem of Instagram automatic log out.

I didn't have this issue the week before. Could it be because its a long weekend, and "everyone" is posting and doing all kinds of stuff in Instagram that the instagram bot has gone crazy and somehow I am affected even though I am not doing much?

Well, if you clear browser history and cookies, your active logins are closed.

I only clear browser history and cookies after I am done and I log out everytime. History and cookies remain active when I'm using instagram and other sites. I think that shouldn't be a problem ?
