    Question about Quizo QTTabBar

    Question about Quizo QTTabBar

Anyone know information where, what and who the current version is of this awesome Explorer add-on and what support and development there is or is it abandoned?

    I'm running QTTabBar V 1043 X64 (Info at: []QTTabBar - QuizoApps)
there is also a version 2048 beta 2 posted there since soon 2 years but all seems rather stale. I think about 2 years ago I tried to install version 2048 but something went wrong and wiped out my toolbar menu configurations.

A lot of this stuff is older going mostly back to 2015 yet some sites have it with different version numbers.

Other information I found on the web seems to be also older some of it from different people. Some Chinese and some with different version numbers such as the one on Github which shows version 1.5.5-Beta .9 from February 14 of this year.

Then again on sourceforge.net and other ones appear last updated 2013 as version 1.5.0.0 beta 2

Then I found yet another one QTTabBar v.2048 which claims works well with last Windows Build 22621.1 , that would be Windows 11.

Throw in a handful of misleading click bait and all in all it gets pretty chaotic.

I thank in advance for anyone who is in the know and can shed some light and untangle!

I use the same version by Quizo.
At some point in its history development was forked, and the other one abandoned, hence the two versions/numbers.

Someone who paid and tried to make contact had no reply.

If it works- and it's useful- continue to use it. I have some long-abandoned freeware (small utilities) not even available on the net now that still works.

MS will introduce tabs in file explorer (or maybe has in Win 11, I forget) - so less incentive for its development. Of course it does more than just provide tabs.

The tabs in windows 11 are gross the context menu is all kinds of stupid right now because of tabs. They made it so its like reading hieroglyphs on a pyramid wall or something.

    I see. So stick with QTTabBar V 1043 X64.
I like it, has great features and customization options built-in.
There is also a version 2048 beta 2 which I once tried but it wiped out some toolbar customization settings I had on my desktop.
What's the difference of the latter anyway to the first?

thanks for the link but I did that some time ago. I meant if there's some other additional more detailed information about it but I guess not.

Quick question: I used to have in the file Explorer in the right side files and folder column a slightly color toned background with and/or a watermark. I had to set up for client and I believe that I had used one of the features in QTTabBar.
from the few settings that are available in the aforementioned app none of them seem to do it.
Could this have been another disabled Windows setting?

But now I seem to be unable to find it or get it to work and I wonder is it perhaps another utility app I had used that enabled such.
    do you know of anything?
    I thank you in advance

You can change the colour of various areas of file explorer generated windows using Qttabbar's Appearance options.
I use that- and have not experienced problems.
