    Revo uninstaller's behaviour has changed

I've used the program for years (now in x64Win10ProV22H2), but today there is a whole strange new requirement to allow a second program to be uninstalled. At FINISH, the Revo window now shows empty until I trigger a cache rebuild, from Options in the Menu. How can I get it to return to displaying 'all program' without having to access the menu ?

Is your issue related to the update?

Are you using free or Pro? Which version? Have you tried the Chat option bottom right of that screen?

Revo Uninstaller I'm affraid is going the dirty and crappy way of Ccleaner.

    Try the following instead:

    1) Bulk Crap Uninstaller.

    2) System Ninja

Do not EVER clean the registry. Simply not needed unless its for a specific purpose. You can foul things up.

    Hello @Sebastian42,

Just for information really that you might find useful or interesting.

I have used Revo Uninstaller for MANY years. I have however, in the last three years or so, used the Portable version WITHOUT ANY problems.

    I hope this helps.

That's a pretty strong statement, on two counts. How has CCleaner become "dirty and crappy?" What is Revo doing now that you don't like?

I have found CCleaner's popups very hard to close.

    Hello @Sebastian42,

The trick, as with most utilities, is to thoroughly go through the Settings initially and set them to exactly the way that you want them.

Additionally, which most people forget, is to Disable them running [ checking for updates for example ] directly on Startup.

    I am using version v6.11.10455 (64-bit).

    I hope this helps.

I think because Ccleaner used to be good like 15-20 years ago over the years it has fallen victim to bad practice. They had all sorts of issues with data breaching and privacy and other questionable things a long time ago.

They also become quite intrusive with popups and other adware/pup type features. I think the program itself is still good at what it does but its become less dessierable because of all the other padding that surrounds it.

I think around 2012 the world is going to end is when i stopped using it because it was doing stuff i don't like it doing.

Use something like Glary cleaner for example and it works like how CCleaner used to be before the bloat and other crap. There is also many other good ones that just do what they need to without all this other stuff on top of it.

Much of the stuff it does you can do yourself anyway if you know how its just good to have one of these programs because it can provide you a convenient way to look over these areas of the computer in one convenient confined GUI.

It would be similar to saying that Mcafee was the best Antivirus at one point in time because it was but it crashed and burned and become ironically enough malware like in nature.

Would not touch this with a 10 foot pole now, its stll out there and i feel sorry for people that use it, its probably improved again but after its steep decline over long years it has left many computer users not wanting to go anywhere near it, same with Norton. Mcafee also said before he died he would not touch it either (He did sell it on).
