Uninstalr - a new app for testing

Uninstalr is version 1.0, released 27th July, 2023

    Note   Note
This is a new release so it has not been widely used or tested by the public. Recommended only for experienced users at the moment.

I ran it and it found a few leftovers from two programs that I'd already uninstalled. It also detects portable apps.

    EDIT:
    The developer is active here:

    Note   Note

Pay attention to these settings and configure before selecting programs for removal or otherwise your computer might reboot without warning to complete the cleanup.

Or else save anything that you are working on before using this program.

A new release of a new software claiming to be The Best?

" it has not been widely used or tested by the public" so who declared it The Best?

I've seen a lot of great programs start this way.
Long, long ago in a galaxy far, far away... REVO started the exact same way. ^^

The author. Actually it's not too bad. A pre boot cleanup script ran on reboot (to remove leftovers) when I ran it to remove pdfgear.

I guess that they intend for us to look at their feature comparison chart.

FYI: It's brand new so might get flagged/ blocked by some security programs. BitDefender flags it as does WiseVector StopX which flags a batch file that runs when cleanup is launched. In my opinion these security programs are doing what they are supposed to do and flagging anything they determine is dodgy. It's a new release so it's probably not in their databases/ datasets just yet.

If in any doubt don't download until further testing has taken place. That would likely take a while.

It could be because filters are applied unless manually cleared.
