    Help with old program

    Good day... My first post anywhere.
    Here is my Windows Version number - Windows 10 Version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.3208)

    Back in the windows 7 days I used a program called 'BloodPressureRT' to keep track of my blood pressure. As I remember it, I thought it even beats the tracking programs available today.

    To make a long short, My Doctor now wants me to track my blood pressure and keep her advised. I can install 'BloodPressureRT' and setup a user in it, but I'm unable to input any readings. I tried contacting the aurthor of the program but they never replied.
    The last update to the author's web site was February 18, 2015.

    What I liked about 'BloodPressureRT' was the ease of inputing the blood pressure readings and when it came to creating a report for the doctor with info geared to the doctor, I didn't understand the report but i remember the doctor that she found it really helpful. I'm seeing seeing with newer programs: a lot are geared to the mobile phone (which I don't have) and the ones for the PC their reports seem to geared to the user, having a lot of info that the doctor knows.

    I have tried using compatibility mode and even run as administrator but nothing worked.

    So my question or questions are:
    1. Is this program classed as abandoned?
    2. If so, is it allowed for someone that knows programming ( I don't), to bring the program up to date so it will work on Windows 10 and 11?

    Thanks for letting me ramble...

    Hello @PWLewis and welcome to TenForums.

    Have you asked your doctor about a more up to date program that he/she would find useful?

    No I haven't. I tried an cloud based program called BloodpressureDB but having cerebral palsy I found it a little difficult to use.

    I tried to run it but got errors. It seems that the developer needs to update it but is unlikely to do so as the most recent version I could find was from 2015.

    Maybe search around for alternatives like:

    https://apps.microsoft.com/store/det...hl=en-us&gl=us

    I'm not sure if that would do what you need but you could test it.

    I'm able to avoid the error message by making a selection in the "Notes" box, even though it is marked as optional.

    Hi all...

    I'm back to the "String was not recognized as a valid DateTime" error message that actully brought me here in the first place.
    Like i said I'm not a programmer so I have no idea what it means....

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
    application or computer (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
    rather than be handled by this dialog box.

    Out of curiosity I downloaded it from Softsonic. I installed it on my laptop with Windows 11 Pro.

    I ran it and entered one set of data with no problems. Just make sure you always enter a note to avoid the error.

    If you don't need the "Add a previous date and time reading" function, uninstall the program, then reinstall and avoid clicking it. If you want to use the program and must have that function, there seems to be a workaround. Click on it, then in the "Date" box, click on the dropdown arrow and select the correct date. This seems to be necessary even if the date is correct. Then set the time to anything except the current time, fill out the remaining information and click "Add". Be sure not to click "Add" without changing the time.
