    Having a problem using WinSetView.

Having a problem using WinSetView. I installed WinSetView a few months ago. Everything working fine UNTIL I tried to reset folder views.

The Folder Views did change BUT I now have a new "Search"Colume that is about 1/4 as wide of the screen size. I tried to RESTORE, didn't work. I tried to uninstalling, didn't work. I tried to reset views to Windowds Defaluts, didn't work.

Thanks for Any help with this

    Hello @CRGibson,

WinSetView is an App devised and created by @LesFerch, a valuable and respected member of this forum. He will see this post as I have mentioned him and should be able to give you advice about your query.

Also, the manual might help > WinSetView - Complete User Manual

    I hope this helps.

Paul - Thank you for your quick reply.

I have downloaded that file and at first quick look did not see an answer to the Search column, but am going back to take a slower look.
    Thanks again!!

Please note that there is no install/uninstall with WinSetView, as it's a portable app. Choosing the option "Reset Views to Windows Defaults" will remove all custom view registry settings and that will return the folder views to Windows defaults. The Restore option will also take you back to whatever point in time you choose. However, neither of those options will affect what panes are displayed in File Explorer as those pane options are not folder views.

There is no "Search" property that can be selected as a column heading, so I suspect that you may have unintentionally enabled the "Details pane". Can you please post a screenshot of what you are seeing?
