run application/program within a program - unsure how to explain

so I have a screen/display video recorder and within it, it has a built in editor of the recorded videos, even though I say its built in (came with the program), it has it's own separate process and .exe file, and can be located in task manager.

what I wish to do is that I use the editor more often than the recorder, but when I try to run the editor executable, nothing loads. it is only through the original recorder process that I click a button within it that it runs this editor program.

is there anyway to figure out how this work and why it wouldn't run? I assume its some sort of internal cli/command but honestly no idea where to start.

    pls help

You'd have to check with the program author /supplier to see if you can achieve that.

There may be some command line switches - try running from a command prompt with ‘program.exe /h’ and variations on the /h, including just program.exe
