Microsoft Screws Up Money App Again

I see MS has screwed up the latest version on their Money app since it no longer displays my watchlist despite the correct data being on MSN Money. Obviously no software QA was done as usual.

Typical MS policy - if it ain't broke then break it.

Microsoft has not done anything with Money for computers or other devices for some time. So how can they screw something up that has been retired.

Seems to be Microsoft is doing it's usual thing, Microsoft Money Plus was the last and maybe hard to find [I've retained a copy about 35MB from 2015] but that is different from MSN Money that is available from the store.

Years ago I used Quicken at home and QuickBooks at the church. There also was a competitor called Peachtree Accounting but that changed to SAGE, more for business. For a simple checkbook register there are spreadsheet templates.

Then why update it and break it?

I still use MS Money 2005 (UK version) which works fine in W10 / 11 - probably because MS hasn't had their current software team update and break it!

I know nothing about Money but I noticed this post & thought you'd be interested.

Quicken is the best alternative, but it is expensive. Here are some other alternatives Alternatives to Microsoft Money for Personal Finances
