While in your browser, press F12 on your keyboard and select the console tab in the panel that has opened, next press the Get in Store App button and see if any errors show in the console.

Try the Alexa link I've just posted at 11F, it should open the download page (I can't do it with this forum software so had to do it there).

F12 gives me the option to open Developer Tools.
Whilst in the MS community forum there was a link to the Alexa app which took me to here Download Alexa App free for PC - CCM
I downloaded this and got a zip file called Amazon Alexa PC 3.11.1285.0, I've virus checked it but not extracted it atm.
Any idea if this is a current or previous version?

That takes me to the Alexa app page in the MS Store, but same as usual, no download selection available.
On that page it indicates I'm logged in to my MS account.

I'll extract the zip file I've got and install the app, then see if it lets me update it.

I am glad that it installed for you. It wants me to update .NET 2 and even I do install it still wants to "E.T. " back to "big-sister" which will have to wait until M-F. I could easily go to the "Living Room" Win10 Home and install Alexia but again I have no love for Alexia and we have one of those mini-Alexia-thingies, and as I said before it should be apart of the application/program itself, which makes no logic sense.

About 11 people, that is there problem. You could pass on the link for all I care.

I even have one of those Amazon portable boxes thingies....haven't powered it up at all, but I am pretty sure it is basically a phone with a giant speaker box, loaded with mics. I want to install Linux on it or maybe an ARM release but it has no ports, asides for networking capabilities.

I will be honest the VM I tested on was 11, because I do not believe the "Ameliorated install of 10" can install the files and it is clean asides for some Mobile stuff I am playing around with. Also there are alternative Amazon/Netflix applications where you still have to log in.
