Why they ruined the Weather App?!?!!??!

    Hi

i don't really get why they have done this to a beautiful simple app! I found out this morning, have anybody else observed that?

For instance, it's in the wrong language for me and there's no easy way of changing it. I don't want all the new features and it was much better before.

Is there a way to roll back??? Pardon the tone but i am not happy!

    thank you,
    Gabrio

    - - - Updated - - -

This fixed it, if it can help others - to change langauge

    1. Press Windows icon key on the keyboard, type Settings and select the top most search result.
    2. Select Time & Language and click on Region & Language from the left side panel of the window.

See if anything else is out of ordinary, for me it was selected "Netherlands" for some reason. Can you select another language? If not ->

    3. Click on Add a Language under Language settings and select English.
    4. Click on the added language and click on Options.
    5. Click on Download to download the language pack.
    6. After the download is complete, select the language and click Set as default.
    7. Check if the changes are effective.

Under the weather because of the weather app?

I felt much the same - it's still possible to get some sort of hourly forecast as you used to be able to do, but not quite the same.

    it was much better before.

Unless you had disabled updates or the internet, or Store app updates, you can't 'keep' a specific version of a Store app- they are continuously updated.

I have the best weather app available ... but to get it to work I have to get up from my computer and go outside.

I am lucky enough to have my 'office' window looking out over the direction the prevailing weather will come in from so I don't need to go as far as stepping outside. If I can see the hill it's not raining but if I can't then it must be raining or will be in about a minutes time. As they would say a bit south of here "It's a bit black over Bill's Mothers" - explanation here .

I actually find the weather app (etc) reassuring- for the month ahead the weather looks good for a Baltic cycling tour...!

    LOL

the thing is this new weather app upgrade is too much, too many options, too many dialogue cells, we're not metereologists! I liked the simplicity of the old version, hence the frustration.

You can kinda see the same things now, but takes much more filtering and all the dialogue boxes really do take your attention away.

This is really the top level screen i wish they'd keep alone in the homepage, that's it, basta.
