Why can't I start a program with this .bat file?

Why won't this program run with this attached .bat file? I have tried on multiple computers and with multiple .exe files. You have to put the .bat file in the same dir as the Chordie dir. So just unzip the file and double click the bat file.

I had already tried that before posting. Adding a \ there only creates double \\ when you run it i.e. desktop\\Chordie\Chordie.exe

    Try
    Code:
    start /d Chordie Chordie.exe
syntax: /d path, where path is starting directory

Open the batch file with Notepad and add two quotation marks between "Start" and "%~dp0Chordie\Chordie.exe". Be sure to save the change.

    Start "" "%~dp0Chordie\Chordie.exe"
