But I still get 5-10 alerts, at the same time, for the same subject. Is there somewhere else the is is controlled?
I started to get alerts from one source- there was a box top right of the alert in that case to disable it.
I assume you referring to the action center notification banner link to the notification settings in the image I posted? I don't care to stop the notifications, I just need them to behave in accordance with the settings.
The default is three notifications. When I learned this was not being observed, I changed it to one. Regardless of what number I set it to, I still get that flood of notifications I described
No, the actual pop-up notification I saw in my case. Seemed to be related to 2 particular feeds (newspapers) from sources used by N& I.
For N&I notification settings, click its own settings icon top right...
