Cannot Copy & Paste Sticky Notes to New Machine

I use Sticky Notes heavily. Before getting rid of my old Win10 machine, I copied the following directory to a thumb drive...

    C:\Users\Ridzon\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftStickyNotes_8wekyb3d8bbwe
On my new Win10 PC, I tried to paste the directory from the thumb drive into its respective location on C drive. However, Sticky Notes will not open and show my sticky notes from the old PC. It will splash the notes across the screen for a split second, as if it is loading, but then stops and leaves one blank note on the desktop. I assume there must be some type of configuration file in the thumb drive directory that is locked to the old PC. Has anyone run into this and know how to get around it?

Hi, apparently this is what you should have done:
How to Back Up, Restore, and Migrate Sticky Notes in Windows 10

If you still have a disk image of your old PC (you do use 3rd party disk imaging routinely and regularly, I hope- endless;ly recommended here) you can extract the relevant file from that.

And from the very useful searchable tenforums Tutorials section:

Your article said to save plum.sqlite. Effectively, I have done that when I saved the aforementioned directory. However, pasting plum.sqlite to the new machine results in the unfavorable behavior I mentioned before.

So I'm still seeking an answer as to what would be triggering this odd behavior when pasting the file to the new machine. There has to be something more going on.

And thank you for your reply.

Clearly you've done more than save just that file.
