    Running program without installation properties


    Hello,
    Inadvertently installed a Tax program to a different PC within the same household. So I've copied the the installation files without its properties, only way it was possible.
    Winver 22H2, Build 19045.2604
    The question is then: is possible to install and run this program on the "good" PC, which contains many previous instances of this tax program, without any drawbacks?

    Simply copying the program files without running the installer, won't transfer over the Registry changes. Many advanced programs do care about these settings.

    If it's TurboTax, my personal experience is Intuit doesn't care about you installing it twice on different PC's. I've done that many times, they make money anyway from the electronic filing fees.
