    Windows 10 app reccomendations cannot be turned off


    When I run any installer/file that requires admin privileges, a window pops up saying that it isn't a Microsoft verified app. When I click the option to change the app recommendation settings, it takes me to the settings app, but no box to turn it off appears. I am on an administrator account, and I've tried everything I can. Help?

    Hello sirhalo, and welcome.

    Double check using the tutorial below to see if you can set to get apps from "Anywhere" instead.

    Choose Where Apps can be Installed from in Windows 10
