I am aware of the history deleting capabilities of the browsers, but I thought the Ccleaner did a better job of it.
So just get the portable build, add winapp2.ini, trim it, remove the unnecessary components and configure it to only clean browser data.

Don't select any volatile entries for cleanup.

If you don't know how then it's not a program that you need to use.

Thank you for the reply, I am going to remove the Ccleaner and use the browser function for those tasks.

    Hello @Johannes,

Obviously there is always a risk when using third-party utilities to perform this sort of task.

As with ALL programs, some people like it, and some people don't.

I have used CCleaner for years. The magic is to setup YOUR own Preferences [ Settings ], rather than using the Default Settings. If there are ANY Settings that you do NOT know or recognise, then UNCHECK them.

I run a computer cleanup Script [ .bat ] that I wrote once a week, and one of the commands to run CCleaner. I must admit that I have never had a problem.

    I hope this helps.

I'm glad to assist anyone who wants to create their own Cleanup.bat program.
Just a suggestion, I would use %SystemDrive%\ in case the installed OS is NOT on C:. This way, the command doesn't need to be changed.

I would be interested in seeing your Cleanup.bat program please.

    Thanks.

Thanks, but I just uninstall the Ccleaner and use the browsers to delete the history and cookies.
