Programs needing to be run as administrator to function

I'm not sure when this started, but I know it was working fine a week ago. The 2 notable programs are League of Legends and Nexus Mod Manager. When I open Nexus Mod Manager, it says it doesn't have rights to the drive Skyrim is on. If I go to program files and run as admin, it works fine. League of Legends will also not run if I do not go to the program files and "run as administrator." I don't know what caused this, but nothing has changed on this PC since a week ago.

This is an issue that affects everyone. You have to go to the compatibility properties and set the program to run as an administrator. This is a great pain in the butkas for me since I have 100's of programs and have to do this every day.

Run as Administrator in Windows 10

Being an admin user and turning UAC to minimum doesn't work.
If ANYONE knows a tweak or patch that solves this let us know. PLEASE.

Actually, goto C:\Users\<username> where <username> is the user in question, click on properties and securities and make sure your account has full control, then click on advanced and have it inherit to all the child. It seems when Win10 installed or upgraded a existing system, it messed up permissions for some folders and sometimes you have to manually go into the folders in question.

Nope, been there, done that. Did a full disk permission sweep. Still need to 'run as administrator'

I only noticed a problem with certain startup apps that requires admin mode won't start so what I had to do was use the following: ElevatedShortcut for Windows 7 and Windows 8

Then there was apps like QQ International which normally doesn't require Administrator in Win7 but in Win10 says it doesn't have access to the folder and running it as Admin seems to fix it but the real culprit was some folders inside my own users folder won't get the ownership until I manually went to that specific folder to do it.

I think in an effort to strengthen security in Windows 10. MS caused a world of trouble. Even a user with admin rights is not a true admin anymore. This policy may be fine for domain users, but workgroup uses should not have these restrictions.
