    Looking for Video/Conferencing Software

Not sure where to Post this, so I'll try here.

My son got a video camera for his desktop. His wife does a lot of video calls/chats with her friend. I was wondering if there is FREE software I can install on my laptop and use to call him. From what I've seen online, I don't need 30 to 300 conference calls, just 1 on one, mabe no time limit? Is there any sofware thats free and easy for a 70 yr old?

    This is what I have...ASUS VivoBook R564JA-UH51T 15.6" Laptop Computer - Gray; Intel Core i5 10th Gen 1035G1 1.0GHz Processor; 8GB DDR4 - Micro Center
    Bought early last year.

Never used the camera on my laptop.

You can try this via your browser.

    p2p.chat

You can't call him with that. You just email him the link to the room that you created and wait for him to join.

What does his wife use? Maybe use that. Or a lot of people use Zoom free.

I've never used Discord. If you're going to use that because your son uses it then ask him how it works.

Discord is full of bloat and shenanigans and is really meant for little brat gamers. Give Element a try. It's cross platform.

I'm giving Discord a try. As was mentioned, my son should know how to use it if I need help. I'll keep the others in mind, just in case.
