SeaTools for Windows version 5 freezes upon opening

Desktop (home built) Windows 10 22H2 (Build 19045.2546)

I recently installed version 5 of SeaTools for Windows, which uninstalled an older version prior to installing itself. The install seemed to go fine. I opened the software, went through the acceptance screens and then the program sat there for 2 hours doing nothing. This repeated several other times, so I uninstalled it and went back to the older version which installed and opened fine. Not a big deal, but I am one of those that needs to know "why"...lol. There was no error message or any crash information either interestingly.
Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated.

Seatools may be trying to access the internet for some reason, and your firewall may be blocking it.

    Hi,
It sounds like there may be an issue with the installation or compatibility of SeaTools for Windows version 5 on your specific computer. Without more information about the specific error or crash that occurred, it is difficult to say for sure what the cause of the problem is. However, some possible explanations could include: incompatibility with the version of Windows you are running,
a conflict with other software or drivers on your computer that the new version of SeaTools is not compatible with, a bug in the software that is causing it to freeze or crash.
You could try installing SeaTools version 5 in a different computer, that way you can know if the problem was caused by the software or by your computer. You can also try installing SeaTools version 5 in a Virtual Machine, that way you can rule out any possible software conflicts.

You can also check the SeaTools for Windows website or forums for any known issues or updates that may address the problem. If you are still unable to resolve the issue, you may need to contact the Seagate support team for further assistance.
