How to download from MS store without enabling windows updates?

I have to download manufacturer's management app from MS store but I have disabled windows auto updates in services.

So obviously the MS store won't allow to download anything.

I just have to use store once for that app (it takes only a few mins to download & install)

My concern is windows update will be able to start any time when it's available.

So the question is, how can I use MS store for once and not worrying about any updates being made before I redisable the update service?

    it's windows 10 pro 22h2 19045 latest.

As you have Win 10 Pro, set a group policy for Windows Update to 'Notify' (described in relevant tutorial in the huge searchable Tutorials section). With that set you don't really need any other means of disabling WU.

With that set you get notification of updates but they are not applied until you approve them.

Thus you can use the Store.

    Hi,
One way to download an app from the Microsoft Store without enabling Windows updates is to use the Microsoft Store app's offline installation feature. This feature allows you to download the app's installation files to your computer, and then you can use those files to install the app without an internet connection. To use this feature, open the Microsoft Store app and navigate to the app you want to download. Then, click the "Download" button and select "Download offline". You can then use the downloaded files to install the app on your computer without enabling Windows updates. Please note that you may have to have the latest version of the Store app and also this feature is available only for some apps, it may not be available for all apps. Another option is using a virtual machine, you can install Windows 10 on a virtual machine and use the store in there. This way you can download the app without enabling windows updates on your main system.
