Macurim reflect image help

My sons hadrdrive is full so ive bought him a new ssd 2Tb
Ive used macurim reflect to make an image and tried copy of his C drve and
put it on bis new drive but each time ive done it, its copied the existing size of the drive over and partioned the remaining,
So the new copy still only has 5gb space, im sure ive done this before without problem
