Password and Details Management system for productivity. Advice?

I'm requesting software suggestions I hear talk of,
    but I know little about.
That can securely manage and quickly apply my passwords and form details when needed.
Intuitively as I navigate my desktop apps, and online accounts.

Example: I may have a desktop game, that requires I enter sign-in details, with user name or email and password.
Or a website, that needs the same. Some of these apps don't save the details and others not securely. I rather not use their systems to save credentials.

Currently I use a very insecure and and slow method of storing all my details on a txt file.
I use CTRL + F to find keywords related to what I need, and then copy paste the txt into the forms.
There has to be a better faster way.

I'd like to skip this searching, and copy paste step,
and have this automated and possibly encrypted.
    Thanks in advance.

Do you use a password manager and if so which? I'm maybe going to try KeePassXC.

No. I keep my passwords in an Excel file - see #7 of Password Managers Newbie Re Password Safe - TenForums
Since I let my browsers store my passwords, my Excel file is just a reference list. I rarely need to check anything in it.

    All the best,
