Is there some way to stop Silverlight from auto-reinstalling?

I have never used Silverlight and never will. Yesterday, I uninstalled it from my work computer - no issues/problems. However, today it was back, i.e., it got auto-reinstalled. Is there some way to stop this from happening, i.e., I uninstall it and it never comes back?

That's very odd. The Silverlight installer is not supposed to even be available any more let alone running automatically.
    MS said:
the Silverlight installer will no longer be available after the end of support date of October 12, 2021.

open Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features
On the top left you will see "Turn Windows features on and off"
    See if Silverlight is there.

If it is a company computer they may need Silverlight to be installed and do so through a script when you log in.
