MACRIUM REFLECT - Event ID: 513 Source: "Microsoft-Windows-CAPI2"

I have the Purchased Retail Version of MR6 and have made several successful (NO Failed Yet) of my ENTIRE WIN 10 Computer (Image) onto my USB Seagate 1.5TB External HD.

In the Log I get this: Event ID: 513 Source: "Microsoft-Windows-CAPI2"

What does it mean ?? Looked all over the Internet but didn't find a "Fix" !!

    Thanks !!

Macrium support in their forum characterizes this as a "benign" event. See Nick's post at http://forum.macrium.com/Topic3154.aspx

Since I've seen this error for all backups and pointed you to the KB article, I decided to go ahead and follow their process (which I hadn't up until now). The permissions on my registration folder all line up as they say it should. I went ahead to the referred answers.microsoft.com thread and, after making a system restore point, executed from an elevated command prompt:
    Code:
    sc sdset MSLLDP D:(D;;CCDCLCSWRPWPDTLOCRSDRCWDWO;;;BG)(A;;CCDCLCSWRPWPDTLOCRSDRCWDWO;;;SY)(A;;CCDCLCSWRPDTLOCRSDRCWDWO;;;BA)(A;;CCDCLCSWRPWPDTLOCRSDRCWDWO;;;SO)(A;;LCRPWP;;;S-1-5-80-3141615172-2057878085-1754447212-2405740020-3916490453)(A;;CCLCSWLOCRRC;;;SU)S:(AU;FA;CCDCLCSWRPWPDTLOCRSDRCWDWO;;;WD)
from szz743's posted step number 4.

I then ran (right click, Run Now) an incremental backup from my backup schedule definition and it completed fine - log shows it did NOT throw the 513 error this time.

    Only Temp Fix For Me

Well, it worked long enough for me to set new restore points and run Macrium partial once w/o the error although when Macrium ran its next scheduled partial, the error returned. tried to run the fix again and received "The device is not ready" response in cmd.
I know the 513 is not a critical error, but this seemed to also fix Windows 7 Backup error of not being able to locate drive where it has always stored backups, as well as not being able to set restore points which had seemed to disappear. This is what lead me to obtain free vers of Macrium Reflect. Wind7 reports error 0x80780048 MS says to run sfc /scannow to correct this error. SFC Scannow found zero issues to report which leads back to this fix, which leads me back to this fix.

Also, I have not been able run a Windows 7 backup in over a month. I realize I dont need two backup programs, but believe this may affect otrer process or create other errors, or is this a non issue?

This is what I enter for the corrected MSLLDFP in elevated cmd prompt wordwrap off
    DD;;CCDCLCSWRPWPDTLOCRSDRCWDWO;;;BG)(A;;CCDCLCSWRPWPDTLOCRSDRCWDWO;;;SY)(A;;CCDCLCSWRPDTLOCRSDRCWDWO; ;;BA)(A;;CCLCSWRPWPDTLOCRRC;;;SO)(A;;LCRPWP;;;S-1-5-80-3141615172-2057878085-1754447212-2405740020-3916490453)(A;;CCLCSWLOCRRC;;;SU)
with cmd respone of "the device is not ready)
VSS is set to auto although was again stopped, so started, no change

I know I jumped on this late a month ago, but, I remain in the same place today.
    No windows 7 backup
installed MR6 Free, set to run M - F, has only run 4 of 5 days at best.
Since 10/25 MR has only ran once effectively.
The last windows update again took me off line for a few days, again took office 13 away for a few days, messed with my printer, removed some programs and thumbs, removed the restore points I created manually for the umpteenth time leaving me with none.
I am about to purchase an new external storage device for backup, not sold on a particular one, I have the 4TB G drive but it is the drive that is continually not being located. I do have many large files stored, film and music as I do editing. Find myself burning BD-R 25GB and 50GB at a time and using these for "secure" , I know, backup of files I cannot afford to lose.

I did earlier today install Ashampoo Anti Spy and shut down all 43 available communication options between my computer and MS as well.

So, still floundering folks and could really use a life raft, or a even a huge heavily weighted net seems like not such a bad assist at this point.
Getting ready to connect an old lap[top back up and get to know Linux for the first time, this is getting old. Will do the Linux regardless, it's about time I gave it a whirl.

SORRY about the verbiage, just punchy..

I just ran this from an elevated command prompt:

    vssadmin list shadowstorage

which resulted in the fine mess:
    Code:

I would be much more comfortable knowing I was having regular backups, even better knowing I had a nice copy of a back up, that is recent. VSS is always getting turned off, sfc showed no issues in need of repair as well as well.
Macrium reports Drive G as Backup Full as well

edit...why the emoji's, I don't use them at all, grrrrrr.

The forum software is misinterpreting ( then C then : then ) as (C:)

If you look at the reply window you can disable smilies if they are a problem.

The best way to prevent unwanted parsing of outputs from system tools is the use of the Code Tags [code] ... ... ... [/code]

    Code:
as this will best show that the content is output from the utility (C:\)
Just select the text and click the Code Button ... #

    Edit

I've have applied the tags to the post to help clarify the output
